Northern Margaret River Team Wineries to Participate in SurfAid Cup

Margaret River, Australia, March 09, 2013 --(PR.com)-- With this year's vintage just around the corner, four budding locals have teamed up to leave the vineyard behind and join the Northern Margaret River Wineries team for the SurfAid Cup Margaret River on March 17th.

The Northies team, formed by the Burch Family Wines, will contend against seven other corporate teams in a relay-style, tag-team competition, which coincides with the Margaret River Drug Aware Pro.

Every team will be made up of one pro surfer plus four corporate contestants.

The team raising the highest amount in the lead-up to the event has the first pick from a line-up of pro surfers.

Other corporate teams include Herbert Smith Freehills, Caporn Young, Macquarie and CINEads.

Each team is given a $5000 target, and last year's SurfAid Cup raised over $45,000 for the SurfAid, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving the self-reliance, health and well-being of those living in isolated areas connected through surfing.

The Burch Family Wines will use their annual Tropfest film festival held at MadFish Winery Margaret River to raise money for their team.

Tickets are priced at $20 per head, with free admission for under 12s. Tickets can be purchased online at burchfamilywines.com.au or by calling 9756 5200.
