)-- CS3 Technology is pleased to announce that Gary Crouch, CPA, CITP, has been named the Designated CITP Champion for Oklahoma by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). This recognition shows Gary’s commitment to the CITP certification and his interest in furthering the education of CPAs throughout Oklahoma.
The Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) credential is granted exclusively to CPAs who demonstrate considerable expertise in information management and technology assurance through their knowledge, skills, and experience. They exhibit unique abilities in understanding how technology and accounting need to work together. Gary, CS3 Technology’s President, has been a CITP for several years and Shawn Slavin, CS3 Technology’s Vice President, also holds the CITP certification in addition to their CPA distinction.
AICPA began the Designated CITP Champion program in 2010. The purpose of the program is to educate the professional accounting community about the vital role of technology and to raise awareness of the CITP certification. This is accomplished by working with the State Society of CPAs through article writing, presentations and CPE events.
