Dr. Mark Galland Provides Orthopaedic Services at Cleveland Indians Spring Training Camp

Local Orthopaedic Surgeon and Sports Medicine Specialist Assists MLB Players and Prospects in Preparing for the 2013 Regular Season

Raleigh, NC, March 14, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Mark Galland, a physician at Orthopaedic Specialists of North Carolina (OSNC) (http://www.orthonc.com/galland.html), has announced that he travelled to Goodyear, Ariz., to work with the Cleveland Indian’s Major League Baseball team and its prospects during the team’s spring training camp Tuesday, Feb. 26 to Wednesday, March 6. While in Arizona, Galland completed a week of examinations and treatment, and provided support to the medical and training staff to the benefit of the organization’s players. He addressed the health status of the prospects, ranging from ages 18 and older, and provided treatment recommendations regarding the players’ injuries.

Galland regularly works with baseball pitchers and position players at all levels of the game. He serves as the orthopaedic consultant to the Carolina Mudcats, High-A Affiliate of the Cleveland Indians Major League Baseball team, and to several area college and high school athletic programs, treating youth and amateur players around the Triangle. This year was Galland’s third trip to the Cleveland Indians spring training camp.

The Cleveland Indians began preseason play Feb. 22 against the Cincinnati Reds at Goodyear Ballpark in Goodyear, Arizona.

Dr. Mark Galland is an orthopaedic surgeon, sports medicine specialist and physician at Orthopaedic Specialists of North Carolina. Galland received his medical degree from Tulane University’s School of Medicine and completed his residency in the university’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
