Kirk-Pinkerton Names F. Gant McCloud and Rebecca J. Proctor Shareholders; Announces New Slate of Officers

Sarasota, FL, March 17, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Kirk-Pinkerton, P.A. is pleased to announce that attorneys F. Gant McCloud and Rebecca J. Proctor have been named equity shareholders of the Sarasota-based law firm. In addition, the firm has appointed senior partners Bill Robertson as CEO, Timothy Shaw as CFO, and Tom Shults as COO.

F. Gant McCloud is Board Certified in Wills, Trusts & Estates by the Florida Bar. He practices in the areas of estate planning, taxation, probate and trust administration, and assists clients with business succession planning and related business entity transactions. Gant is a graduate of Duke University and earned his J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation, with honors, from Northwestern University. He is an expert in the preparation of wills, trusts and related estate planning documents and represents individuals in planning for the distribution of family wealth and the minimization of estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxes.

Rebecca J. Proctor focuses her practice on elder law, which encompasses the areas of guardianship, estate planning, wills and trusts, probate and trust administration, special needs planning and Medicaid planning. Rebecca is a graduate of Eckerd College and obtained her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University. She assists clients with issues relating to wills and trusts, asset protection, guardianship issues relating to abuse and neglect of the elderly, durable powers of attorney, living wills, long-term care needs, assisted living and nursing home issues, Medicaid planning and special needs planning.

Bill Robertson, Timothy Shaw and Tom Shults are each equity shareholders in the firm.

Bill Robertson handles matters involving litigation, personal injury and wrongful death, and hosts the “Let’s Talk Law” radio show every week on WSRQ. He is a Sarasota native and the fifth generation of lawyers to serve this community.

Timothy Shaw’s practice involves all aspects of real estate and financial institution transactions, including but not limited to condominium, single family and mixed-use developments, asset based and real estate based loan transactions, and commercial acquisitions and leasing.

Tom Shults is a Board Certified Civil Trail Lawyer by the Florida Bar. He represents clients in a broad range of cases, including complex business and commercial disputes, probate and trust suits, construction project litigation and election law.
