New 'Virtual Noticeboard' for Every Local Community in Britain

London, United Kingdom, August 09, 2007 --(PR.com)-- It's not always easy to find out what's happening in your local area, but that could be about to change thanks to new a website called localmouth.

Localmouth aims to help people get more involved in their communities by encouraging local people to share information with one other. The site has a page for each of 46,751 neighbourhoods in Britain and allows anyone to contribute what they know about their area.

According to Matt Collins, the founder of localmouth, "localmouth is trying make it easier for local people to find out what's going on in their area. The website offers something like a virtual noticeboard for each local community. If you run a local club, for example, you can add a description of it on the localmouth.com page for where you live and help more people find out about you."

Localmouth was conceived in May 2007 by the thirty-one-year-old Matt Collins, who runs the site from his home in South London. Matt is a graduate of Oxford University and has an MBA from the INSEAD business school in France.
