Cary, NC, March 23, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Terramor Homes (http://www.terramorhomes.com/), a local premier home building company in the Triangle, will host a groundbreaking event Wednesday, Mar. 27 at 11 a.m. to celebrate its 2014 Miracle Home, benefiting the Mix 101.5 2014 Radiothon for Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center. Local elected officials and community leaders will join Terramor associates, hospital representatives and on-air personalities from MIX 101.5 in breaking ground at 744 Magalloway Dr. in Cary’s Cameron Pond community. The event is open to the public and light refreshments, including “Caring Cupcakes” from sponsor Gigi’s Cupcakes of Brier Creek, will be served.

Proceeds from the home’s sale will be donated to Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center. Terramor Homes will raise money needed to construct the 2014 Miracle Home through partnerships with trade partners, vendors, homeowners and families. The company and Duke are accepting donations and materials online via http://www.dukemiraclehome.org/.

Terramor associates unveiled the 2014 Miracle Home announcement and their pledge to raise $120,000 live during the 2013 MIX 101.5 Radiothon in February. On-air personalities, from the WRAL MIX Morning Show, Lynda Loveland and Vanna Fox will join the Mar. 27 groundbreaking event.

The funds raised for the 2014 Miracle Home are used to further support the diligent work within the medical and surgical programs housed at Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center. This fundraiser is one of the few Children’s Miracle Network radio-thons that structures their sponsorship so that every dollar raised goes directly towards meeting the needs of hospitalized children. This annual event is the single largest fundraiser for Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center, and has raised over $15 million in the past 19 years, donating $1,122,416 this year.
