The funds raised for the 2014 Miracle Home are used to further support the diligent work within the medical and surgical programs housed at Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center. This fundraiser is one of the few Children’s Miracle Network radio-thons that structures their sponsorship so that every dollar raised goes directly towards meeting the needs of hospitalized children. This annual event is the single largest fundraiser for Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center, and has raised over $15 million in the past 19 years, donating $1,122,416 this year.
“We look forward to a great turnout at the groundbreaking event for the 2014 Miracle Home,” said Michelle Simms, Terramor Homes chief operating officer. “The Triangle community has continued to rally behind Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center and a wonderful cause.”
“The money raised through the Miracle Home Charity Project allows us to provide improved care, equip our facility with state-of-the-art technology and assure parents that their brave children are receiving the help they need,” said Robyn Soffera, director of annual programs, stewardship and communications at Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center. “We are looking forward to breaking ground in the Cameron Pond community and seeing the great home that Terramor will construct.”
