April 2012, Ms. Stone started her blog aka KISS-Schmuck as an online diary of her miserable, quotidian isolated existence due to the seizure in February 2011 that rendered her with a rare neurological deafness. "I'm unable to leave my home and do simple things like work, use the phone, listen to music, go to the movies. My life is ruined."

However, Maura's life is far from boring. As mentioned in Kiss, she never has to leave home to have drama parked at her doorstep.
