This Week, the Real Deal Show Was Too Real for Dr. Leigh-Davis

Dr. Leigh-Davis explains why this week's show was stranger than fiction … literally.

Los Angeles, CA, April 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- A worldwide audience and a fan following built over the last decade, were at a loss when "The Real Deal" show did not air at its expected time. Moreover, the audience was especially larger than usual for the evening, because this was the first time, in a longtime, that a "mature" show on sex was being broadcast. "The show is usually G-rated, but Dr. Leigh-Davis is an anthropologist and sex expert, who sometimes does a 'mature' themed special," explained publicist Jane Daniels.

The reason for the show being preempted is still being reported, but in summary: it was another threat of violence by an unstable person. Right before the special "Real Deal" episode entitled, "Sexual Healing" was set to go live, police evacuated the entire studio after an imposter entered one of the buildings and initiated a standoff. It is still not clear what weapons, if any, this gentleman (described as a 30-something white male,) had. However, it has been confirmed, he was a known stalker who the police had previously had a problem with. (Source: Canyon-News, Beverly Hills, California, Saturday, March 30, 2013)

At first, some fans of "The Real Deal" thought it was an early end to the long running show, having recently heard host Dr. Leigh-Davis being interviewed on this being the last year of the weekly show. Publicist Jane Daniels made the official announcement, stating, "Dr. Leigh-Davis has so many entertainment projects on the forefront, including the unbelievably popular show "Success Living," as well as next month's new show, "The Sex Therapy Show;" that after 2013 "The Real Deal" will likely live on as a monthly special. But as a bonus, each special episode will last longer."

Dr. Leigh-Davis surmised, "At every studio, there are guards and gates for a reason. However, this was completely unimaginable." The offender was taken in to custody around midnight and "The Real Deal with Dr. Leigh-Davis" will reschedule the missed episode. "As a result of the incident, we are going to increase our shows on gun issues and have an upcoming special on New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his gun control stance," announced show producer, Jennifer.
