Augusta, GA, April 06, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- Businesses and residents of America’s second-fastest-growing technology city and customers of Guardian Watch™ Corporation, an Augusta based mobile application company, have established the “Friends of Augusta” community watch group. Used daily around the country by neighborhood watch groups, school safety programs, and public safety, Guardian Watch™ is also used during special events that draw large crowds.
The new Guardian Watch™ group, “Friends of Augusta,” is made up of businesses and residents of neighborhoods throughout Augusta, the National Hills area and Downtown Augusta. The group will be using the Guardian Watch™ m911 mobile application to help keep the neighborhoods around the Augusta National Golf Club safe and secure in support of the city’s public EMS and Richmond County Sheriff's Department. “We are encouraging visitors and residents alike to download the Free Guardian Watch™ application for their iPhone or Android device and join the Friends of Augusta group,” stated Mayor Copenhaver.
Due to the high profile nature of the Masters’ Golf Tournament, new members of Guardian Watch™ are encouraged to review the Safety Guides available on the Guardian Watch™ website in order to better prepare for situations that may arise. Visitors and residents alike are invited to read Dr. Gordon Jones' latest blog posts, “Going on Vacation? Be Sure to Pack an Extra Measure of Safety,” as they make plans to visit Augusta this month.
The Masters, played every year at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga., is one of golf's four majors. It is a tournament founded by Bobby Jones and is revered by golfers everywhere. "We are honored to partner with the residents and businesses of Augusta to keep our out-of-town guests as safe as possible," stated Dr. Jones, Founder of Guardian Watch™.
