Swing into Spring: Register for the Maurer Foundation Golf Classic Breast Health Fundraiser on May 9
On May 9, 2013 The Maurer Foundation will host the 18th Annual Golf Classic at the Meadow Brook Club in Jericho, Long Island, NY. Proceeds will go to benefit the Maurer Foundation’s breast health education programs presented to Long Island and New York City schools, businesses, and community groups.
Hauppauge, NY, April 10, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The event begins with registration and brunch at 10 am followed at 12 pm by a shotgun start. The full day of golf will be followed by a cocktail reception at 5 pm, which will include a buffet, golf awards, a silent auction, and a raffle.
Golfers will have the chance to tee off with John Schmitt, former Jet and Super Bowl champion, in the Golf Classic’s Beat the Pro contest.
This year’s Golf Classic will take place at the Meadow Brook Club, a private 18-hole golf course located on Cedar Swamp Road, Jericho, NY. The course, originally built as a 9-hole course in 1894, has hosted many major regional tournaments including Metropolitan PGA Championships, The Metropolitan Open, an LPGA event and the Lightpath Long Island Classic, a Senior PGA Tour event.
Tickets are available for individual players ($600), foursomes ($2400) and for the cocktail reception only ($150).
The Maurer Foundation also welcomes sponsors who would like to take part in the games while also bolstering their business. In addition to social media, website, newsletter, and event signage recognition, participating sponsors will be featured on an "e-journal" screen that will display a running rotation of advertisements.
