Santa Monica, CA 90401

With the help of Chief Davis at the Santa Monica Fire Department, Homeland Advisory Group will be re-installing the rigging required to once again raise the American flag to fly high atop the Real Office Center building (Google’s old office) in Santa Monica. Santa Monica has quickly become known as “Silicon Beach,” because of the density of young entrepreneurs and their fledgling start-up companies. Real Office Centers and the organization SiliconBeach LA is at the heart of this community offering daily networking events and a unique, open-source work environment.

Local resident and entrepreneur, Josh Bashioum organized the flag-raising event after he noticed the flag on the familiar building was missing after Google had moved out. As a volunteer CERT instructor with Burbank Fire Department, he knew just who to call, their friends at Santa Monica Fire.

Mr. Bashioum purchased the flag, rigging and hardware for the event. “My company, among many other start-ups here, are working hard raising money and creating jobs, a true American dream. Since we’re planning to open office space at the epicenter, Real Office Centers, I decided to see what I could do to replace the very symbol of the entrepreneurial spirit,” said Josh Bashioum, Founder and CEO of Homeland Advisory Group. Along with the help of SiliconBeach LA, local entrepreneurs will gather to admire old glory.

Homeland Advisory Group, founded by Mr. Bashioum, is a technology startup that offers a revolutionary online emergency planning and training platform for organizations. Mr. Bashioum is a successful serial entrepreneur and graduate of the USC Marshall School of Business. Their company has received seed funding and is now raising their angel round to bring their product to market.
