Naturalism Advocate and Skeptic, Tom Clark, Sees No Evidence for Survival of Consciousness After Death

In-depth interview with Naturalism proponent, Tom Clark, explores the lack of evidence for “fringe science” like parapsychology, near-death experience and alternative views of consciousness. The interview delves into “free will” and Mr. Clark’s suggestion that we embrace our lack of free will and change our legal system and social systems accordingly.

Del Mar, CA, August 16, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Join host Alex Tsakiris when he interviews Tom Clark about his book, Encountering Naturalism: A Worldview and Its Use. During the hour-long interview Clark expresses his doubts about the survival of consciousness after death: “…I’d have to be agnostic about the possibilities for consciousness after death, especially my own personal consciousness with my personal characteristics… I can’t disprove that it exists, but what’s the positive evidence for it… I haven’t seen a shred of positive evidence to support that belief… and that’s how science works. We don’t argue from gaps we leave those gaps unfilled… but the reason I say I’m skeptical of, say, the soul, or consciousness after death, is precisely because there’s no evidence for that.”

Mr. Clark also explains how his understanding of Naturalism leads him to believe we lack “free will” and should change our legal and social systems to account for this.
