Charity Finds Creative Approach to Fund Raising

Rochester, NY, April 20, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Child Wellness Research Foundation (CWRF), a non-profit foundation dedicated to funding pediatric medical research, announced today a partnership with KAKO Beauty, LLC. This partnership is a unique collaboration between a non-profit and a for-profit business in an effort to increase charitable donations. Through the KAKO Cares Charity Program a donor can make as little as a $1 donation to the CWRF and receive a KAKO Beauty Luxury Body Cream free. This program is a very unique and creative approach to raising charitable funds in a difficult economy.

It is not uncommon for corporations to support charities and non-profit organizations but this is the first time a cosmetic company has signed on to “give away” products. “When my daughter was diagnosed with cancer my life changed, my priorities changed,” says Eric Bauer, Founder/CEO of KAKO Beauty, “All of us must do what we can to support all the great charitable and medical research organizations that are working to make our lives better.” KAKO Beauty is going above and beyond. The KAKO Cares Charity Program is open to all charities who would like to take a creative approach to raising funds. “Our mission is to create a better world through giving,” said Eric.

The Child Wellness Research Foundation was looking for creative solutions and alternatives to traditional fund raising events. Events such as golf tournaments, black tie dinners, dances, etc. can cost a lot of money to manage. Often the charities end up losing a large percentage of the donations to the event vendors. Food vendors and rental costs can consume as much as half the donations. As an alternative, the KAKO Cares Charity Program guarantees 100% of the donations received go directly to the designated organization. “The KAKO Cares Program is a way to insure the donations are used as intended,” says Mohamed Ebrahim, President of the Child Wellness Research Foundation. “Everyone comes out a winner under this program.”

In a struggling economy, asking individuals to donate money has become a challenge for most non-profit organizations. The traditional events continue but attendance has been falling. Thinking “out of the box” and finding companies willing to help are the best solution for creating win-win programs which will result in meeting donation goals. The Child Wellness Research Foundation with the help of KAKO Beauty has found a unique and creative approach to support their goal of finding cures for deadly childhood illnesses.
