)-- Effective January 20, 2013, The State of Hawaii Department of Health will no longer be conducting tattoo artist license examinations.
Artists seeking to apply or renew existing license, must take a blood borne pathogen course developed specifically for the tattoo industry from course provider (such as Biologix Solutions LLC) approved by the Health Department.

This online course fulfills OSHA’s initial and annual bloodborne pathogens training requirements for all body art professionals. After successful completion of this course, a Certificate of Completion will be available for your record and to submit with your application.
