New York State of Mind: Jack Ray to Provide Bumble & Bumble Training in His Raleigh, NC Salons

Raleigh, NC, August 15, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Right now, if Raleigh hair stylists want to continue their education through Bumble & bumble University (Bb.U.), a graduate school for hairdressers, they have to travel to New York City or, if they’re lucky, attend an in-salon workshop presented by a Bb.U. trainer who has traveled here. Jack Ray, co-owner and head stylist at both Samuel Cole Salon and Salon Moxie in North Raleigh, intends to change that.

Ray is about to become certified as a Bumble & bumble network educator, qualified to teach the Bb.U. training program in his own salons. Recently, he and his wife/business partner Joelle Ray spent four days at Bumble & bumble University in New York where they attended advanced B&b classes with master stylists in all aspects of hair design.

“The curriculum is extremely exciting, challenging, and inspiring,” Jack said. “It’s a real honor to be working with the same people that are behind the scenes of the biggest fashion shows in Milan, Paris and New York.”

When he completes the advanced curriculum, Jack Ray will be a direct liaison for Bb.U. and will be able to offer all of the New York salon’s education in Raleigh through monthly classes at both Samuel Cole Salon and Salon Moxie.

Joelle Ray and inventory coordinator Laura Andrews participated in Bb.U.’s Leadership and Salon Culture courses to expand their knowledge of salon systems and procedures “which are what make our clients have a great experience every time,” Joelle said. Courses included salon management, inventory control, team motivation, public speaking and leadership training.

“How smoothly a salon works contributes immeasurably to keeping clients happy,” she added. “And the more we as owners and managers can support our stylists, the more our clients benefit in the end.”

Bumble & bumble opened in 1977 as a salon and hair product company dedicated to raising the standards of the industry. Today it is one of the most influential hair companies in the world with an extensive product line used and sold by an exclusive group of salons.

Samuel Cole Salon, a B&b Network salon, is located at 240 Newton Road and was recently featured in both Salon Today and American Salon magazines. Salon Moxie opened recently in North Ridge Shopping Center on Falls of Neuse Road to offer an alternative to both “budget” salons and more upscale destinations like Samuel Cole Salon.
