Bumblefish Sushi & More Relocates to Expanded Production Facility in Rockville, Maryland

Kansas City, MO, April 24, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Bumblefish is pleased to announce the relocation of its Alexandria, Virginia store to a state of the art production facility in Rockville, Maryland. According to Kent Scholla, Bumblefish President and Managing Partner, “We are extremely excited by the prospect of being able to better serve our current customers, as well as adding new members to the Bumblefish family.” Bumblefish began Maryland operations in mid February.

In addition, Bumblefish announced that General Manager, Chester Uyechi, will be relocating to help manage the new Bumblefish Rockville. “We are very happy to have the opportunity to manage Bumblefish’s newest production-only facility," Mr Uyechi added. "As we transition away from retail to concentrating on our wholesale clients, we are confident our customers will be pleased with the level of service we will provide.”

After beginning its life as a restaurant serving “friendly” sushi and other Asian foods, Bumblefish Sushi & More has spent the last several years moving towards a wholesale strategy. By partnering with national foodservice managers such as Aramark, Sodexo, and Compass Group, Bumblefish is able to expose thousands of people a day to fresh & healthy alternatives to the standard cafeteria fare.

James Dickey, Bumblefish’s Vice President of Operations adds, “I am proud of the way our team has handled the move seamlessly, and am looking forward to continuing to build the Bumblefish brand from Rockville.”
