Hilliker Corporation assists Women's Exchange, a non-profit organization founded in 1883, with its move.

St. Louis, MO, April 27, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Hilliker Corporation, a St. Louis owned and managed commercial real estate company, recently provided tenant representation to The Women’s Exchange, a non-profit organization founded in 1883. The Women’s Exchange, which has been located in a 4,000-square-foot space at 9214 Clayton Rd. since 1974, signed a 10-year lease at 8811 Ladue Rd. in the Colonial Marketplace in Ladue. Opening is scheduled for June, 2013.

The DESCO Group, a commercial real estate development and management company, represents the $17M Colonial Marketplace. The Women’s Exchange will spend $500,000 to build out their space.

The Women’s Exchange was originally designed to serve as a marketplace for women to earn a livelihood through the sale of their handmade goods. The new 6,000-square-foot store will offer new opportunities to more consignors so they can showcase their wares. The Women’s Exchange will continue to feature its children’s boutique, tea room and gift shop.

The new store will be located adjacent to Schnuck’s Markets in the 68,000-square-foot shopping area. Renovations are being made by DESCO with architectural work by Idea Architects. Hilliker Corporation’s agent Jeff Altvater represented The Women’s Exchange.

Hilliker Corporation, which targets regional and national entrepreneurs, is St. Louis’ largest locally owned independent commercial real estate company. The firm’s agents, who each average over 15 years of experience, have completed more than 10,000 sales and leases for industrial, office, retail and institutional clients since its inception in 1985.
