E Signatures for RE/MAX Classic

RE/MAX Classic Broker Brett Furman Introduces E-Signing.

St. Davids, PA, May 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Local RE/MAX Classic Broker Brett Furman announced today he is providing clients with a new tool to make buying and selling homes easier and more convenient than ever. E-signature technology allows buyers and sellers to sign those crucial documents over the Internet or even by smart phone.

“Families today are busier than ever,” Furman said. “With most of us spending at least part of our day online and on our smart phone and juggling work and family, it makes sense to provide this convenience to home buyers and sellers.”

Instead of having to spend hours poring over reams of paperwork and dealing with the inconvenience and hit-and-miss quality of faxing, clients can save hours of their precious time. Clients won’t have to miss work or cut dinner short in order to meet and sign paperwork.

Randy Leinhauser’s house was lingering on the market for 114 days. He made a change in agents and began working with Furman. Furman quickly found a buyer for the home. But more incredible to Leinhauser was the convenience and ease in finalizing the deal.

“By using e-signatures, I was able to read and sign my documents while sitting in a restaurant in the Netherlands,” said Leinhauser. "I could sign a legally binding document without the hassle of finding a place to print the document, sign it and fax it. It’s a very efficient and effective process."

The use of E-signatures in business transactions has become increasingly popular since the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act was enacted in 2000. The law allows electronic signatures in real estate transactions.

In addition to the convenience for buyers and sellers, electronic signatures leave an electronic trail to authenticate the transaction. The software programs create automated records that specify when a document was signed, the computer from which it was signed, and what the document looked like when it was signed. Furman assures those clients who might be a bit leery that he is still available to guide buyers and sellers every step of the way. The e-signature process isn’t a substitute for quality service, but is an enhancement.

“I know buying and selling a house is a very complicated process and there are many questions to be answered,” Furman said. “I’m still readily available to all my clients throughout the entire process.”

Furman recently authored a book titled “Everything You Need to Know About Selling Your Home.” The book, available online, is tailored to suit the ever-evolving needs of today’s home seller. He is offering complimentary copies of his book from his website, www.brettfurman.com or calling 610-687-6060.

Furman has been in the industry for more than 27 years. He has been involved in more than 750 real estate transactions.
