)-- NetSource Commerce is pleased to announce the release of the Version 4.7 update to ProductCart, their premium E-commerce software. ProductCart v4.7 adds a number of new features to enhance store interaction with both online shopping search engines and social media. Significant upgrades to the software include:

Updated PayPal Integrations
One of the recent changes to Paypal is the introduction of "PayPal Advanced", where customers don't leave the store during checkout when paying with a credit card while payments are made "invisibly" on the PayPal Web site. Customers have a better checkout experience; at the same time this allows E-commerce site owners to reduce the scope of their PCI compliance requirements because the payments don't actually happen on their Web store. Customers can also pay with BillMeLater (a service owned by PayPal), which basically allows E-commerce websites to offer financing on purchases through PayPal.
Support for Google Shopping
Last year Google switched to a pay-per-click model for their product listings. The bad news is that now E-commerce sites need to pay to list products on Google shopping (what used to be Google Product Search within Google Base). The good news is that Google now makes money with those listings, so they are more visible and can generate more traffic. Yet posting products to Google Shopping isn't easy. There are several requirements, and those requirements change depending on the products. ProductCart v4.7 includes new features to easily prepare a product data feed that is compatible with Google Shopping's new requirements and to upload that feed to a Google Merchant account.
Store owners can now turn on the Pinterest “Pin It” button from the Store Settings area of the ProductCart Control Panel. The button is automatically added to category and search result pages, as well as to individual product detail pages. Additionally, store owners can specify whether to display the "pin counter."
Better search results
The meta tag "keywords", which is no longer useful for search engine optimization purposes, needed a new way to be helpful. The store search feature in ProductCart will now check those keywords when querying the product database. This can help store owners introduce terms that customers may use to look for a product, even if those terms are not in the product name or descriptions (e.g. misspelling, names of competing products, etc.). The super-robust product import feature in ProductCart allows store owners to import the keywords meta tag, so they can easily update the product database that way.
