Memphis Personal Injury Attorney David Britton Peel Named to the Board of Directors of "Love Worth Finding Ministries with Adrian Rogers"

Memphis, TN, May 03, 2013 --(PR.com)-- David Britton Peel, a personal injury attorney since 1996 with an office in Millington, Tennessee, was recently named to the Board of Directors of Love Worth Finding Ministries. Founded in 1987 by legendary Bellevue Baptist Church pastor Dr. Adrian Rogers, Love Worth Finding was a response to growing requests for recordings of Dr. Rogers’ teaching messages. According to the website of Love Worth Finding, the mission of the ministry is “to bring people to Christ and mature them in the faith; to publish and broadcast biblical truth maintaining a balance of compassion and conviction; and to serve with absolute financial and moral integrity and open accountability.”

“I am humbled and blessed to serve as a board member of Love Worth Finding,” says Mr. Peel. “Dr. Rogers was a personal friend and Christian mentor who had a great impact on my life and my faith, and it is an immense privilege to continue his ministry of spreading the message of God’s Word.”

Love Worth Finding is broadcast in more than 150 countries, is broadcast on radio, television and online podcasts and can be heard 24 hours a day on the Internet. Even though Dr. Rogers was known as a quintessential Southern Baptist, Love Worth Finding’s radio and television ministry provided a vehicle whereby millions of non-Southern Baptists worldwide came to recognize his unique, deep preaching voice.

Dr. Rogers served as pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church near Memphis, Tennessee from 1972 to 2005. Throughout those years, during which he also served three terms as president of the Southern Baptist Convention, Dr. Rogers began and operated Love Worth Finding, cultivating a reputation for evangelistic zeal and an uncompromising commitment to the Word of God. A husband, a father of four, and a grandfather to nine, Dr. Rogers’ passed away in 2005 after over five decades of extraordinary Christian leadership.

“In a letter he wrote in 2005, and which he intended to be read after his passing,” says Mr. Peel, “Dr. Rogers said: ‘While the messenger is gone, the message must continue. Today there are still millions of people who do not know our dear Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and who are in desperate need of His redeeming grace.’ It is my deep honor to help to carry on the work of Dr. Rogers, and it is my sincere prayer that God give me the wisdom to help faithfully serve with the other members of Love Worth Finding in sharing the message of Christ’s saving work with the whole world.”
