Wild Wonders/Zoofari to Host 5th Annual Safari Scramble on June 21, 2013

San Diego, CA, May 03, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The North County wildlife education facility Wild Wonders and its nonprofit partner Zoofari will host the 5th annual Safari Scramble golf tournament at The Crossings at Carlsbad on Friday, June 21, 2013 with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.

Wild Wonders expects a full field of golfers to participate. All proceeds from the event will be used for general operations at the center. The public is invited to attend for $150 per golfer entry fee or $600 for a foursome, which includes greens fees, a cart, range balls, a box lunch, hole-in-one contests, and entrance to the BBQ dinner which includes visits with live animals, live music, a raffle and silent auction.

Additionally, guests wanting to participate without golfing are invited to attend the post-tournament BBQ dinner for only $30. Guests will enjoy live music, a raffle, silent auction and visits with live animals.

“Our goal is to set a record with $20,000 raised in one day,” said Kimberly Wright, managing co-director. “Fundraising is our main source of income, and with more than 150 animals to care for on a daily basis, these events are imperative for our organization’s success.”
