TOCICO Announces Day 2 Conference Keynote Address

Ken Miller, author of two books, will present Government Extreme Makeover at the 2013 TOCICO International Conference in Bad Nauheim Germany.

Aberdeen, WA, May 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The TOCICO announced today that Ken Miller will deliver the keynote at the end of the second day of the TOCICO international conference. Ken Miller is the founder of the Change and Innovation Agency, a firm dedicated to helping government increase its capacity to do more good. Ken speaks to thousands of government managers every year. He is the author of two books: We Don’t Make Widgets: Overcoming the Myths That Keep Government From Radically Improving and The Change Agent’s Guide to Radical Improvement.

Ken Miller claims "Government is under incredible pressure right now. The economic crisis has hit it with a double whammy: exponential increases in demand and dramatically reduced resources. Government simply doesn’t have the capacity to do all the good it wants to do in this world. How have governments responded to these new pressures? By trotting out the old ideas. More blue ribbon panels, travel moratoriums and calls for accountability. They cut back on paper clips and cut out the training. They outsource, upgrade and rightsize. Meanwhile droves of new customers are left waiting for help.

"The house of government doesn’t need another layer of paint or some new carpet it needs an extreme makeover. And just like on the show it needs it done fast!"
