California Small Businesses Unite to Clothe Children of Africa

Recurrent Dreams Baby Boutique and Jack & Jill’s Children Apparel has awarded Project Africa Global, Los Angeles, for their commitment in providing healthcare to the Children of Africa

Long Beach, CA, August 18, 2007 --( Recurrent Dreams Baby Boutique today announced that they received a donation valued at $5,000 from Jack & Jill’s Children Apparel. The donation consisted of handcrafted new infant and children clothing, and was granted to Project Africa Global, Los Angeles Chapter. Project Africa is a non profit organization, dedicated to deliver much needed healthcare & supplies to Ghana, South Africa, and Haiti.

Spokesperson for Recurrent Dreams Baby Boutique, owner Ms. Dawn Torress stated, “We are very excited that Jack and Jill’s Children Apparel has joined us this year in awarding Project Africa Global. Over the past 3 years we have held various charity fundraisers for non profit children organizations. Thanks to Jack and Jill’s, this year’s fundraiser has been the most successful.” Both Jack and Jill’s and Recurrent Dreams, an online unique baby boutique, are family owned small businesses, located in Long Beach, California.

In addition to running a successful online luxury baby boutique, Recurrent Dreams owner, Ms. Torress, has concurrently been active in the health care field. She learned about Project Africa, from a nursing coworker, Ms. Velma Jones. Vice President of Human Resources for Project Africa Global, Los Angeles Chapter, Ms. Jones travels with a team of medical professions providing much needed healthcare and supplies to Ghana and South Africa. “Knowing that Ms. Jones personally packs and delivers our donation, is very comforting. There is no middle man.” states Ms. Torress. “I can hardly wait to see her pictures of the children wearing Jack & Jill’s brightly patterned sundresses, when she returns to Los Angeles in September.”
