SolarCraft Installs Solar Power System for Covenant Community Church

Novato and Sonoma based SolarCraft announced the completion of a 29.5 kW solar electric system at Covenant Community Church in Vacaville, CA. The photovoltaic system will provide enormous savings for decades to come.

Novato, CA, May 07, 2013 --(PR.com)-- “I’m really pleased that our church has taken this step to become energy independent,” said church member Toby Hanes. “It’s going to save us a lot of money over the years, which we can put to far better use for our growing congregation. SolarCraft installed a roof-top system on my residence about a year ago, and it has worked flawlessly.”

The newly installed solar electric systems utilizes (117) ET Solar 250-watt solar panels. Spanning over 2,050 square feet, this system is roof-mounted on concrete tile. The system’s solar panels convert sunlight directly into electricity and is expected to generate approximately 40,000 kilowatt hours of energy annually, providing sustainable and price stable energy to the church. Excess power generated during the day is banked by PG&E for credit towards future use.

The new solar energy system allows Covenant Community Church to generate enough electricity each day to power 13 average homes. It will spare the air nearly 18 tons of harmful greenhouse gases annually. Over the next 30 years, the air pollution saved will be equivalent to eliminating over 1 million miles of driving.
