Australian Rock Band Headlines for Child Poverty Coalition

Melbourne's Antiskeptic chosen to front the international launch of Worldview

Kitchener, Ont., Canada, August 18, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Antiskeptic, one of Australia's hottest bands, was selected by the international child poverty coalition Worldview to represent the movement in their new promotional video. The video, which features the final thirty seconds of the music video Dancing On The Inside is being sent to media around the world as an introduction to Worldview and the sixteen artists from ten countries who are featured on their website www.worldview.ca. Each artist has contributed a recent music video and also recorded their thoughts on child poverty and/or child sponsorship to encorurage vistors to the site to consider sponsoring a child through one of Worldview's featured charities.

According to site creator Stephen Jarnick “There was never any doubt that Antiskeptic was who we wanted to use. Dancing On The Inside has an absolutely spectacular ending that's a perfect fit for our message.” The video text asks “Can music change the world? Can it end the insanity of extreme child poverty?” and the reply from Worldview is “We think it can.”

Antiskeptic is comprised of Andrew Kitchen - vocals and guitar, Sean Daly – vocals and bass, and Nick Coppin – drums. In addition to being Worldview's connection with the band, Coppin also appears on the site as their spokesperson.

Antiskeptic's latest EP, Monuments, includes Dancing On The Inside along with three other songs. The EP comes with a DVD featuring in-studio video clips of all four songs, commentary from the band, and a live performance from Melbourne's Rod Laver Stadium.
