Ms. Colorado State 2013 Crowned

Ms. Michelle Marie of Parker, CO has recently been awarded the Ms. Colorado America 2013 title by the Ms. America® Pageant. The Mission of the pageant is to celebrate the accomplishments of women, encourage women to be involved in community service, as well as use the “Crown for a Purpose” to make a difference.

Denver, CO, May 18, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Ms. America® pageant is open to women 26 years of age and up, who are single, divorced or married. The selection process for receiving a title was done by submitting an application, photo and followed up by an interview over the phone. Titleholders from across the United States will compete in Interview, Sports Wear, Evening Gown and On-Stage Interview. “Michelle really left a positive impression on our judges and we are thrilled to have her representing Colorado State at the 2013 Ms. America® Pageant finals this June in Costa Mesa, CA,” said Susan Jeske, Pageant CEO.

Michelle Marie is a local philanthropic leader and public figure who has devoted her life to volunteerism and mentoring young women on giving back to their communities and building self-esteem. Michelle has centered all arenas of her life in philanthropy and civic consciousness. Currently she is the President of FemCity Denver; a chapter of the international women’s organization, Femfessionals. FemCity Denver serves as a catalyst for helping professional women connect with one another, give back to the community and grow their business.

Additionally Michelle’s passion for community has coincided with her philanthropic and modeling background to give her an opportunity to create a public speaking platform speaking on topics that various demographics can relate to including Body Image, How to Give Back and Goal Setting. “The Ms. America Pageant’s mission accents my passion for community, empathy for women advancement and ability to not only make a difference myself but encourage others to do the same,” says Michelle.
