Mountville, SC, August 25, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Michelin Laurens Proving Grounds has launched a website (www.michelinpg.com) that outlines the value offering that they can bring to a customer. This informative website provides detailed track and program information, enabling the user to quickly determine the proper test methods that can be employed to satisfy various needs and requirements.

Serving the needs of the automotive industry since 1976, Michelin’s Laurens Proving Grounds (LPG) provides unsurpassed experience in vehicle testing. The 3300 acre site contains over a dozen special tracks and surfaces, including polished asphalt, long straightaways, and asphalt lakes.

LPG offers driver training services to the fleet industry, combining classroom learning with a unique behind the wheel experience. The latter component differentiates the LPG program from other training sessions in the marketplace.
Both business to business and consumer facing, LPG accommodates many of the top Nextel Cup teams and aids in their testing of aerodynamics on their vehicles.

Located just south of Greenville, South Carolina, LPG offers an ideal location for hosting various events and training sessions. LPG’s tracks allow for subjective testing, such as max handling, braking, and vehicle dynamics. Additionally, they conduct objective testing, including noise/comfort, hydroplaning, and drift/pull.
