Pilates in the Park Launches in White Plains - Turnure Park
White Plains, NY, June 12, 2013 --(PR.com)-- “We are excited to include our first ever Pilates focused program at Turnure Park this summer for all of White Plains residents to enjoy,” states Wayne Bass, the White Plains Commissioner of Recreation and Parks.
This year the Parks & Recreation Department has expanded its offerings in an effort to promote fitness and well-being within the community of White Plains. On Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 6:00 PM, Apogee Fitness & Wellness of White Plains will begin the 8 week Open Mat Class entitled Pilates in the Park. The event will take place at Turnure Park off Lake Street in White Plains and will be held on Tuesdays until August 13th.
Apogee Director of Pilates & Programming Lesly Levy stated, “What sets us apart from the other Pilates Programs is we come from Power Pilates and from one mind…Joseph Pilates. We have an in-depth understanding of his teaching principles, along with melodic components to enhance the effectiveness of his teachings. We each have a solid ground to be an incredible instructor with a first-time student or a long-time follower.
