Summer Movie Classic Debuts in New Venue with Tasting Event and Screening of Casablanca

26th Annual Event, Presented by Hoag Hospital Foundation’s 552 Club, to be held at The Hangar at the OC Fairgrounds.

Newport Beach, CA, June 14, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Hoag Hospital Foundation’s 552 Club announced it will host its longstanding annual summer event, now called the Summer Movie Classic, at The Hangar in Costa Mesa at the Orange County Fairgrounds on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 5 p.m. The event will feature tastings from more than 30 of Orange County’s finest restaurants alongside a private screening of the Hollywood classic, Casablanca. The event began in 1988 and to date has raised over $1 million for Hoag Hospital Newport Beach and Hoag Hospital Irvine. The popular movie event, which draws more than 1200 guests annually, was formerly called the Movie Screening and held at Edwards Big Newport Cinema.

“This Hoag 552 Club event has been one of Orange County’s largest and most anticipated community events each summer, thanks in large part to dedicated supporters including long-time hosts Jim and Patti Edwards,” Sheri Horn said, event co-chair with her husband Brian. “We are excited to present this reimagined Summer Movie Classic in our new venue with one of Hollywood’s most celebrated classic films and so many great restaurants.
