)-- Capture 3D announces a new metrology product into the dimensional marketplace. The ATOS Plus intuitively integrates photogrammetry, 3D scanning, and inspection to further advance automation, dimensional analysis, verification, and process safety. This dynamic combination enhances measurement accuracy, repeatability, and eliminates the need for costly precise fixtures. It streamlines the entire measurement process while decreasing the overall project time. With a press of a button, ATOS automatically performs photogrammetry, 3D scanning, and inspection delivering accurate and rapid results. The ATOS Plus is available with high resolution 12 or 29 million mega pixels cameras.
With ATOS Plus a completely automated inspection process can be realized allowing:
Process safety over long periods
Higher repeatability and reliability
Reduced costs of fixturing
The ATOS Plus solution is fully integrated into GOM's established digitizing and inspection solutions. The Plus Box allows high accuracy, automated photogrammetry and extends existing ATOS Triple Scan sensor heads.
High resolution photogrammetry camera
The photogrammetry camera delivers up to 29 megapixel resolution capturing high accuracy reference points.
Specially developed optics
The Plus Box uses specially developed GOM optics and proprietary lens ensuring high imaging stability and measuring accuracy.
Large measuring areas
The high resolution sensor and special optics enable large measurement areas of up to 3m with short stand off distances.
About Capture 3D
We live in a world fueled by creativity, innovation, and competition. When product ideas are born, the world of engineering gives it life. The tools and technologies we use on a daily basis are a critical factor to achieve success. 3D metrology plays a tremendous role in product design, manufacturing, production, and maintenance. It helps us decipher what the naked eye cannot and allows us to monitor trends to predict future issues. Measurement is an improvement process that validates the parts, and the parts that create the parts, to ensure all are within tolerance and meet design intent.
Capture 3D, headquartered in Costa Mesa, California, was founded in 1997 as the North American partner for GOM Germany. GOM has over 400 employees and 45 distributors worldwide with over 6,000 optical metrology systems installed. Capture 3D has offices throughout the United States including an Automated Metrology Solutions Center in Farmington Hills, Michigan. With their industry expertise and innovative technology, they team with companies to optimize concept through sustaining engineering product life cycles. From aerospace, automotive, consumer goods, power generation, entertainment, medical, to a variety of other industries, Capture 3D helps their customers solve engineering challenges, save time, minimize costs, reduce iterations and rework to improve overall time to market.
