Collierville, TN, June 16, 2013 --(PR.com)-- From March 2013 to April 2013 pending sales climbed one percent, from 2,109 in March to 2,131 in April. April's pending sales are the highest in the past six months. Existing home sales rose 19.7 percent, to 1,325, from March’s 1,107. The 1,325 existing home sales in April of 2013 represented the highest total for Shelby, Fayette and Tipton counties over the last six months.
New home sales went up 7 percent from March with 61 sales in April. April’s and December’s 61 sales marked the highest new home sales total in the last six months. Median sales price in April was $95,000, essentially flat from March’s $95,900,for all sales in Shelby, Fayette and Tipton counties. March’s $95,900 was the 6-month high median sales price; February had the low. Average sales price in April for Shelby, Fayette and Tipton counties went up 1.4 percent from March, to $135,104, and was the 6-month high. Inventory for the greater Memphis market inched up 0.5 percent with 6,483 unitslisted for sale. The 6-month-low was 6,070 units in December. Average time on the market decreased 3.7 percent from 107 days in March. December’s 115 days was the 6-month high.
