Minnesota Man, Michael Salmonson is a Pillsbury Bake-Off Semifinalist

Pillsbury has suggested using press releases to encourage voting for this years semi-fimalists. Public voting is a new process for the Pillsbury Bake-Off.

What: Michael Salmonson, a local resident of Hibbing MN was recently named one of 60 semifinalists in the freshly redesigned 46th Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest. Michael Salmonson needs Minnesota’s votes to send him to the finals to compete for $1 million in dough.

Who: Michael Salmonson is now available for interviews and recipe demos. Michael Salmonson was selected as a semi-finalist in the Simple Sweets and Starters category for his recipe Orange Chocolate Date Cookies.

When: Voting is open on BakeOff.com beginning June 13 through June 27 at Noon CT. For the first time in the 64-year history of the Bake-Off Contest, America will determine which of the semifinalist recipes will vie for the grand prize. Those 100 finalists will compete at the Bake-Off Contest finals, November 10-12, 2013, at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

Why: Michael Salmonson needs your help to make it to the next round to compete for a chance to win the $1 million grand prize. The Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest is one of the most iconic competitions in the United States. It originated in 1949, with the first competition at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.
