The Professional Italian course is structured in two sections:

a) Standard Class. 4 lessons of group instruction (2 lessons of grammar and 2 of conversation) to develop language skills and linguistic communication skills. The goal is to make sure that the student is able to understand technical texts in the most precise way, but also learns how to make appropriate use of the vocabulary acquired.

Specific language expressions. Besides the specific vocabulary, an important part of the work is the analysis of some idiomatic expressions of the technical language. they aim the phrases and combinations of phrases which are used particularly often and are difficult to understand without a proper preparation.

Typical text types for the field. Finally, the course analyses the kinds of texts typical for the sector in order to highlight both the general structure and the linguistic characteristics. The aim is to enable students (in relation to the level of competence) to understand specialized texts and create such on their own.
