)-- Atlanta resident Bob Van Rossum has been named president of Marcademy, Inc. (http://Marcademy.com/) and appointed to its Board of Directors. Marcademy is the country’s fastest growing Internet marketing career training school for up-and coming-marketers, Internet marketers and growth hackers.
In addition to his role as president of Atlanta-based MarketPro, one of the country’s leading recruitment firms catering to the marketing industry, Mr. Van Rossum, bringing more than 14 years recruiting experience for marketing, creative, advertising, interactive, communications and e-commerce professionals.
"We are delighted with the opportunity to add Bob to the Marcademy Board of Directors," O’Connor said. "I look forward to working with Bob and know that his experience in recruitment will go a long way toward delivering on our promise. He brings a new perspective to the traditional education model which will help us to meet our goal of giving graduates an outcome like no other – a clear path to a job."
The new board, comprised of a chairman and three directors, assumed their responsibilities on May 5, 2013. Supporting the board is a separate advisory board to focus on academics and curriculum.
“My role with Marcademy provides an exciting opportunity to help influence the way marketing professionals enter the workforce,” Van Rossum said. “Finding a job in today’s world is challenging enough for the seasoned professional. For someone with little to no professional experience and no idea how to conduct a strategic job search makes landing a job that much harder. It’s a problem and I’m excited to be part of the solution.”
Van Rossum is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Greensboro and currently serves on the Atlanta Executive Advisory Board for the American Marketing Association (AMA).
Marcademy is establishing the “new norm” in how modern marketers enter the work force – with a practical, job-relevant education.
