Bittylicious, a New Service Allowing UK Users to Purchase Bitcoins, Goes Live

Bittylicious, a new service allowing UK users to purchase Bitcoins by using online banking, goes live after a successful testing period.

London, United Kingdom, June 26, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Bittylicious has just launched its service which allows users in the UK with online banking to purchase Bitcoins quickly and easily. The service requires that users have a UK bank account that supports Faster Payments, which is the case with any major consumer bank.

Users only need to enter an email address, a Bitcoin address and an amount and they will be presented with a screen detailing account details that the user needs to transfer money to. Users have 30 minutes to make the transfer and once it is complete, they click "Payment sent" and the Bittylicious system periodically checks its account looking for the payment. This is usually noticed within a few minutes, after which the Bitcoins are automatically transmitted to the user's address. The transaction is now complete.

Although payments usually show up within a few minutes, sometimes Faster Payments can take two hours. If the payment arrives outside this time period, a refund is promised.

The process is designed with simplicity in mind. If users do not wish to purchase a large amount of Bitcoins, they do not need to register, although registration is encouraged. The quickest purchase to date has completed within 100 seconds, and the team at Bittylicious hope that this promotes Bitcoins as a legitimate and useful alternative currency to use in the UK.
