Award Winning Gospel Artist Speaks Out Against Child Poverty

Kitchener, Ont, Canada, August 28, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Australian artist Deb Fung has contributed her music video for “Home” and also recorded an endorsement video for international child sponsorship coalition Worldview. Fung is one of three Australian artists appearing on the new website, which also features singer/songwriter Amanda Baker and cutting edge rock band Antiskeptic.

In her engaging, soft-spoken style, Fung says “...Worldview exists as a group of friends that doesn't accept donations – purely to connect you and I to these charities. Compassion, World Vision, Christian Children's Fund and Plan are four of the organizations that have earned our trust and respect. They do all the work - we just need to partner with them...” The Worldview site also showcases a dozen other performers from ten countries.

Winner of the 2003 National Gospel Award for “Best New Gospel Artist”, Fung has been singing and playing in front of appreciative audiences since the age of eight. When she was 23, the singer/songwriter from Sydney, who grew up in Melbourne, changed course from a career in commerce/law to focus on music. Fung is now touring across Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Australia with her band to promote her new album “Whoever You Are”. The album, which is produced by Brad Evans, features Fung along with drummer Damian Rogers, guitarist Mark Cullen, bass maestro Christian McBride and UK based rhodes musician Dave Tymo.
