Signorello Distribtion, LLC President Michael Signorello’s Show Car Takes Top Award at the Inagural Detroit Festival of Speed and Style at Campus Martius

Detroit, MI, August 28, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Sunday August 26, 2007 was the inaugural Detroit Festival of Speed and Style automobile exposition at the beautiful Campus Martius in the heart of Downtown Detroit. This Concours d’Elegance style show featured hundreds of invitation only vehicles covering all makes, models, years and vintages. Signorello Distribution, LLC President Michael Signorello was one of those honored with such an invitation for his hand built custom quarter mile racing 1970 Dodge Super Bee. To further the honor Michael’s Super Bee was selected by the judges to win the top honor of “Class Winner” of the Modified Muscle Car class at the exposition. This is not the first accolade that the Super Bee has taken since Michael personally completed building it last spring in time for the Detroit Autorama but it is certainly one of the most prestigious. “Just to be asked to be among some of the most beautiful vehicles in the world is flattering but to actually win an award of this caliber at an event like this is truly humbling,” said Mr. Signorello, to the judges and organizers of the event after.

Michael built the custom 1970 Dodge Super Bee and unveiled it at the 55th annual Detroit Autorama earlier this year. Since then the car has garnered numerous awards and is scheduled to be featured in such publications at Mopar Muscle Magazine and Mopar Action Magazine later this year. The Super Bee was also asked to be featured as the “poster car” for the Jax Wax Family of Car Care Products and is featured in all their media advertising. The car boasts a 468 Cubic Inch Low Deck Chrysler Engine with a F-1 Methanol Inducted Super Charger. The Car also has a 727 Automatic Transmission, Ladder Bar Suspension and and a Dana 60 rear end.

Marrying the excitement and speed of car cruises and races with the style and sophistication of a Concours d’Elegance, the Detroit Festival of Speed and Style celebrates the automobile and its historical contribution where it all began – Detroit. The event was held at Detroit’s Campus Martius and adjacent Cadillac Square. This new event is built on the success of the 2003-2005 Cranbrook Concours d’Elegance. The event is part of the celebration and lead up to the return of the Detroit Grand Prix at Belle Isle and kicked off Saturday August 25thth with a scenic driving tour from Campus Martius to the Edsel and Elanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores. Then the cars continued on to Belle Isle for laps around the new Detroit Grand Prix racecourse. Then Sunday August 26th was the actual exhibition with cars from all genres. On display were Concours Classics, Muscle Cars, Hot Rods, Race Cars, Sports Cars, Lowriders, Alternative Fuel Vehicles, Vintage and Custom Motorcycles.
