National Dean of Local Culinary Institution Joins Educational Nonprofit

Raleigh, NC, July 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Chef’s Academy (http://www.thechefsacademy.com), the Culinary Division of Harrison College, a 110-year-old, nationally-accredited institution that offers 40 degree programs in five schools of study, has announced that Chef Jeffrey Bane, Morrisville campus president and national dean for The Chef’s Academy, has been appointed to the Wake Education Partnership Board of Directors. As a board member, Bane will work with fellow community business leaders and elected officials to develop policies to guide the daily operation of the organization and promote excellence across Wake County’s 169 public schools. Members of the Wake Education Partnership board seek to graduate all students with the capabilities needed to contribute to the local economy. During his three-year term, Bane will seek to promote the economic health of Wake County by helping teachers and administrators provide a quality education to its public school students.

The Wake Education Partnership is a nonpartisan nonprofit that has linked public schools to community business leaders and politicians for 30 years. The organization researches best practices and funds teacher leadership grants, among other initiatives, to help fill any gaps in required resources for schools.
