Austin, TX, July 10, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The i like book is partnering with companies that want to make a local and national impact on the bullying epidemic. Sean Berkey, Cause Marketing Director for i like book, has taken the anti-bullying campaign to a new level by partnering with companies who want to donate, My Friends Like Me, books to elementary schools. Berkey comments “We have structured a platform so that the donating company gets plenty of marketing collateral and visual presence while taking part in a do-good effort.” These companies want to make a difference in their community and some at a national level. Until now there has not been an actual educational tool for schools to use in the classroom that is a fun activity and will make a huge impact. The My Friends Like Me book is designed for classroom use facilitated by a teacher. Each child has their own book and their classmates write positive affirmations of what they ‘like’ about each other. The idea is quite simple yet powerful and is why it is so effective in early childhood development.

Bullying has become a hot topic and the business community is catching up to the wave of identifying how to jump in and assist. The i like book released their anti-bullying campaign in the Fall of 2012 and incorporated a fundraising channel for elementary schools. Now, with the help of charitable corporations they will be able to affect the lives of hundreds of thousands of children. Young children are in a critical stage of identity formation and with the help of positive affirmations from their peers, teachers and parents they can form a strong foundation of self-esteem.

Meredith Looney, Owner of the i like book, describes this effort as “an effective and efficient way to get these important books in the hands of children.” The i like book company was established in 2010 and has released a series of journal format books with an angle of creating fantastic relationships through daily feel good affirmations to children, spouses or even yourself.
