Fort Worth, TX, July 13, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- North Texas animation and music production company, Creatnership Entertainment, announced today their studio will launch a new animated short project with the help of fan support on Kickstarter.com. The project debuted on Kickstarter.com on July 8, 2013. The first episode of Goode&Plenty will feature the talents of a diverse group of creative minds.
Goode & Plenty, a loving homage to the women in prison exploitation films of the 1970s, tells the story of Sherry Goode, a woman wronged by the system. “It’s about revenge, it’s about fighting the Man, it’s sisterhood,” says writer and story creator Rebecca Romero, “but it also tries to be fun and sexy.”
Creatnership is relying on fan support because the group recognizes the freedom of expression possible with crowd-funded patronage, and the ability to produce quality animation directly for fans, without the influence of advertisers or studio executives.
The project pools the talents of art director Joe Romero, writer Rebecca Romero, production director Ryan Mottinger, and sound designer Damon Gay. A group of old friends who have collaborated on many creative projects in the past, the members of Creatnership have created games, produced live theatrical productions, recorded music, and animated movie shorts.
Kickstarter.com is a site that lets people contribute money to see artistic projects and inventions come to life. Patrons in turn get to share in the creative experience.
