Green Mountain Distillers of Stowe, Vermont is proud to announce the release of the first and only 100% Organic Maple Liqueur.

Stowe, VT, August 30, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Green Mountain Distillers is proud to announce the release of the first product in its Vermont Organic line of Liqueurs. Vermont Organic Maple Liqueur is the first and only Organic Maple Liqueur to be produced worldwide. This ultra fine Liqueur is a combination of the highest quality Vermont Organic Maple Syrup and an in house produced Organic spirit. Harold Faircloth III, a partner in Green Mountain Distillers, explained, “The seductively smooth flavor and superb balance is achieved through a six times distillation process involving Organic Grain in combination with Organic Vermont Maple.”

This fine liqueur is an ideal after dinner drink that embodies the true essence of Vermont with its wonderful balance of smooth alcohol and Maple sweetness. Vermont Organic Maple Liqueur makes a unique component for many classic cocktails, including Old Fashions, Manhattans and Martinis, as well as being an excellent addition to apple cider and coffee drinks. For the culinarily inclined, Vermont Organic Maple Liqueur is the perfect ingredient to bring a touch of Vermont to any dish. The 2007 vintage of Vermont Organic Maple Liqueur will be available exclusively at Vermont liquor outlets state wide. This is a limited edition product, every decanter is hand filled, signed and numbered by the distillers.

Vermont Organic Maple Liqueur is the first in a line of Organic Liqueurs being made by Green Mountain Distillers. “We want to make use of the incredible flavors that Vermont has to offer,” said Timothy Danahy, another partner in Green Mountain Distillers. Plans call for an Organic Honey and Spice Liqueur to be released this winter with an Organic Berry Liqueur to follow next summer.
