)-- Ann Denlinger, president of Wake Education Partnership, an independent advocacy organization dedicated to making world-class schools possible in Wake County through business and community involvement, has announced that the organization is now accepting nominations for its 2007 Business Partner for Education Award. Sponsored by the Wake Education Partnership and the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, the award is presented to two businesses that have taken a leadership role in providing high-quality public education in Wake County schools. Nominations must be received by Monday, Sept. 10 and are available for download at
Winners will be announced at the 2007 Annual Meeting to be held Thursday, Oct. 11 from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the McKimmon Conference and Training Center on the North Carolina State University campus.
“With Wake County in a continuous state of growth, it becomes even more important to maintain and develop the education infrastructure that molds future generations,” said Denlinger. “The Business Partnership for Education Awards is our way of giving back to local organizations and businesses who demonstrate a dedication to the advancement of public education in Wake County.”
