DC Ranch Village Health Club and Spa Gets Saucy

Scottsdale, AZ, August 31, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Continuing to be the Valley’s innovative Health Club, DC Ranch Village Health Club and Spa brings fitness to a new, fun and sassy level, with the arrival of Argentine Tango lessons. Members and non-members will be taught basic dance elements of the sultry, passionate dance, as well as learn the dance’s historical roots and culture, while gaining the confidence to dance socially at local milongas, or dance parties.

The origins of the Tango are obscure, but it is known that the dance started in the brothels and barrios of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The best thing about the Tango is the interaction with another person. It’s like a conversation, flowing and easy. Tango is a feeling, steps don’t have to be memorized, but instead allowing freedom of movement which promotes a connection with the other person.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer members of the community a chance to have fun, learn something new, and exercise their body all at the same time,” says Jodi Melton, Tango organizer at DC Ranch Village Health Club and Spa.

Dancers Diane Bradshaw and Godfrey Revis will be teaching the classes at DC Ranch Village Health Club and Spa for the six-week session starting in September. The classes begin on September 5th - October 10th, every Wednesday from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. Cost for Members is $72 per person and Non-Members cost is $90 per person. Interested parties can register at the DC Ranch Village front desk or by calling 480.502.8844.
