Marsha Firestone Featured on ABC News
New York, NY, August 31, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Marsha Firestone, Ph.D., president and founder of the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO), participated in a roundtable discussion on an ABC News Now "Top Priority" segment about the rise of women entrepreneurs. Firestone discussed her role in empowering women entrepreneurs, as well as elements that affect leadership success. The WPO is a nonprofit membership organization for a diverse group of women presidents who have guided their businesses to at least $2 million in gross annual sales or $1 million for a service-based business. With over 1,100 members and 72 chapters located throughout the nation and in Canada, the WPO has experienced rapid growth since its inception. Local WPO chapters are coordinated by a professional facilitator and meet monthly to share business expertise and experience in a confidential and collaborative setting. This year is the organization’s 10th anniversary.
