Greenerful.com Announces National Green Living Award Recipient

West Palm Beach, FL, August 03, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Greenerful.com has announced the very first recipient of the prestigious “Do-Gooder” Award for Excellence in Green Living and Sustainability. Christina Hudler, from Onslow County, North Carolina is the proud recipient. This award is a prestigious honor because it recognizes individuals for their ongoing efforts within their community, region or country for outstanding contributions to the green movement.

Hudler won this award because she chose to make a difference to help educate and affect change in Onslow County. She helped create an organization called Green Onslow, (www.greenonslow.org) which was developed to inspire the local community to make environmentally sound choices to help protect the environment, educate current and future generations and clean up environmentally sensitive areas. The organization has established classes that train individuals to make environmentally friendly choices, begun planning a community garden, a sustainable cloth diaper program, promoted recycling practices in areas where there are none and has generated support for adopt a highway programs to help in the beautification of Onslow County.

Christina Hudler is a loving wife and mother of three. Being a native North Carolinian who has lived in many parts of the state, she has seen some of the best role models and some of the worst offenders when it comes to keeping North Carolina Earth-friendly. After living in Asheville and Boone (two areas of the state known for being more environmentally conscious), she felt she had a lot to offer the green movement when she moved to Onslow. Hudler believes change begins in your own backyard and that every single person makes a difference. With help from the Green Onslow team and volunteers, she hopes to inspire others in the community to make more eco-friendly choices in order to have a positive impact on the world. In her free time, Hudler works as a holistic birth doula and an office assistant, with hopes of pursuing a long-term goal of working full time for Green Onslow.

Jon Lappin, President of Greenerful.com said, “Going green is a way of life, a commitment. We should demand more of our suppliers, restaurants, legislators, friends, family and manufacturers – and Ms. Hudler is a prime example of someone reaching out and trying to make a valuable impact on her community.”
