Sirsa, India, August 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Dera Sacha Sauda, the socio-spiritual organization, under the benevolence of Revered Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, came forward to extend every kind of support to Uttarakhand flood victims. The heavy rainfall that stuck Uttarakhand on 16th June 2013 brought life at the hills to a halt. Where thousands of people lost their lives, many others lost their homes & families. Even post one month of the natural disaster, the life has not come to stability yet there. The imprints of this worst-ever natural calamity are clearly visible on every road and route that leads to Uttarakhand. At this hour of tragedy, volunteers of Shah Satnam Ji Green ‘S’ Welfare Force Wing led by Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa voluntarily stood up for the relief of flood victims.

Under the directions of Revered Guru Ji "Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan," Dera Sacha Sauda sent 7 trucks of fodder to the Khanpur district of Uttarakhand on 21 June 13. The fodder was then distributed by Wing members along with local officials to various affected areas. Addressing to the grief of flood victims, Revered Guru Ji assured all possible support from providing relief material and medical aid in flood affected areas to the rehabilitation of victims like reconstruction of houses, roads etc. Adhering to what was assured, 33 trucks loaded with relief material along with 200 volunteers and 50 small vehicles like jeep etc. were flagged off by Revered Guruji to Uttarakhand on 9th July followed with a medical team of 15 specialist & super specialist doctors and the world’s smallest mobile hospital “Farishta.” Prior to this, survey teams of Dera Sacha Sauda reviewed all the flood affected areas and listed 35 villages which were isolated due to landslides and were yet to be addressed by Army and para-military personnel. Revered Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan directed the volunteers to deliver the relief material at the doorsteps of victim families. The same was followed with all earnest by the volunteers. The day, 11-Jul-13, when the caravan of volunteers & relief material reached Guptkashi, everyone was amazed that how come such fully loaded heavy trucks, hospital have reached here traversing through intricate & devastated routes. Volunteers explained that when they crossed Tihri Dam, the routes ahead were so abstruse that for few kms it was all muddy & marshy, then it was all rugged; somewhere you had to invade at high heights, somewhere you had very narrow passages. But the daredevil volunteers risking their own lives pushed trucks uphill and many times the trucks were lifted with the help of JCB. The relief material was then delivered at the doorsteps of victims through small vehicles upto the areas it was possible and for isolated villages, volunteers carried heavy packets of relief material on their shoulders and distributed to the victim families with their own hand. The next day, a helicopter was arranged which carried relief material to the remote villages and volunteers then delivered it to the victims. During the relief venture, 10,000 victims’ families received the packets of relief material consisting of all kind of household amenities and the medical team examined 2500 patients along with the distribution of free medicines to them. The doctors also organized counseling and yoga sessions for victims to fight against the depression and insomnia. The smallest mobile hospital "Farishta" was also a center of attraction as it provided the medical facilities to victims which were not available to them when they lead a normal life. People had to travel 60 kms for ECG, X-Ray etc, but Farishta brought all the facilities at their courtyard. Besides this, volunteers fixed the roads also which were devastated in recent landslides occurred due to fresh rains in Uttarakhand in July month.

Everyone was found appreciating the well-packed relief material consisting of all the necessities i.e. wheat flour, pulses, rice, sugar, tea leaves, turmeric, chilly, spices, pressure cooker, torch etc. and thanking Revered Guru Ji for understanding each & every need of the victims and sending this relief material. The exemplary efforts of volunteers of Shah Satnam Ji Green ‘S’ Welfare Force Wing under the holy supervision of Revered Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji was applauded by residents and many local officials. “I salute the volunteers of Shah Satnam Ji Green ‘S’ Welfare Force Wing who reached here without considering the difficult and destroyed passages,” said Uttarakhand’s Disaster Management Minister Mr. Yashpal Arya. Chairman of Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, Govind Singh Kunjwal also said, “I heartily adore Shah Satnam Ji Green ‘S’ Welfare Force Wing and thank Revered Guru Ji Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan.
