Entire Community Comes Together to Provide School Supplies to Students in HEB ISD

Hurst, TX, August 17, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The 5th annual HEB ISD/6 Stones Operation Back 2 School will provide backpacks, school supplies and social services for over 5,600 students in HEB ISD. Over 54% of HEB ISD students come from homes that are economically disadvantaged. Individuals and businesses all across the community have come together to sponsor and donate $25 per student towards the bulk purchased school supplies. This year the program has almost doubled in size to include both elementary school students and secondary school students. Families will not only receive school supplies, but also social services and information on topics such as literacy, parenting, nutrition and more. 700+ volunteers will join community leaders to bring hope to these struggling families.

Notable sponsors: Aetna, Atmos Energy, Bell Helicopter, Chick-fil-A, Classic Chevrolet, Del Monte, DFW Plastics, Lockheed Martin, Rental One, Supply Depot, iT’Z, Walmart, Whataburger and many more.
