Deidre Pujols of The Pujols Kitchen Attends a Cooking Event and Giveaway for Young Single Mothers

The Pujols Kitchen was honored to meet with the young, single mothers group from the First Baptist Church of Arnold in St. Louis, Missouri. Deidre Pujols provided a Pujols Kitchen gift basket as well as a cooking demonstration.

St. Louis, MO, August 21, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Deidre Pujols of The Pujols Kitchen was honored to meet some amazing young women recently. Deidre was a guest at an event for a young, single mothers group from the First Baptist Church of Arnold in St. Louis, Missouri. She not only provided a cooking demonstration, but also blessed each of the young women with a Pujols Kitchen gift basket.

Each of the young mothers received products from the Pujols Kitchen cookware line, including a small caldero – a traditional Dominican-style cooking pot – a Pujols Kitchen apron, a ladle, an insulated Pujols Kitchen lunch bag, and The Pujols Kitchen official cookbook of Deidre Pujols’ recipes with a potholder.

Deidre, the wife of first baseman Albert Pujols of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, also taught the young women how to make her husband's favorite dish - Home Run Chicken. The recipe is not only a "hit" with her husband, but also with the young mothers at the event.

The recipe for Home Run Chicken is based on the traditional Dominican cuisine, Pollo Guisado. This delicious dish is made with sazon, tomato paste and seasonings, including chili powder for a little kick. It is traditionally served with rice and beans.
