Third Annual RI Technology Awards Open for Nominations, Applications

Tech Collective’s Tech10 awards will honor Rhode Island’s top 10 IT practitioners, digital media designers, and entrepreneurs – nominate, apply at www.tech10awards.com.

Providence, RI, August 22, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Nominations and applications are now being accepted for the 2013 Tech10 awards. In its third year, the awards program – established by Tech Collective, Rhode Island’s industry association for Information Technology and Bioscience – recognizes the ten most accomplished technologists in the state’s IT, digital media, and entrepreneurial arenas.

Individually, Tech10 recognizes Rhode Island IT practitioners and entrepreneurs who excel in their practice, demonstrate a passion for contributing to the success of others, and are pioneering in their technological and career achievements. For the technology community, Tech10 is the opportunity for Rhode Island business and industry to identify its exceptional participants, and its future leaders.

“Across Rhode Island’s IT service companies as well as its private sector IT departments, there are 13,500 IT professionals in our state,” said Kathie Shields, executive director of Tech Collective. “Many of those professionals are doing extraordinary things to enable their company and their clients, whether external or internal. They are networkers of not only the hardware and software, but also of Rhode Island’s IT community – building comradery, collaboration, and innovation. They are a growing driver of Rhode Island’s economic prosperity and future leadership. We want to recognize them. And we are proud to do so through our Tech10 Awards program.”

Individuals can apply for the awards themselves or submit nominations or applications for colleagues, employees, clients, partners, etc. at www.tech10awards.com. The deadline for all nominations and applications is Tuesday, October 1, 2013. Tech10 honorees will be announced in mid-October and showcased at an awards celebration to be held on November 20, 2013 at the Roger Williams Park Casino. Three Tech10 recipients will additionally be honored with special recognitions announced at the event.
