)-- BCI Asia identified world class boutique developer ArthaLand Corporation to be among the Philippines’ Top 10 developers. The award was conferred in the recently held BCI Asia Awards in Makati City.
The BCI Asia Top 10 Awards highlights the real estate industry’s key players, underscoring the achievements by the country’s leading developers and architectural firms. According to the group’s press statement, “the awards are bestowed to firms that shape the built environment of tomorrow, enabling the market to better understand the important roles these firms play and their impact, both to the society and the environment.”
One of Asia’s most coveted awards
Since its launch in 2005, the Top 10 Awards is among the most coveted recognitions in the Asian building and design industry. The BCI Asia Awards is a regional event attended by senior representatives of the building and property development industries to honor the best in building and architecture in Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
This year, BCI Asia has expanded and repositioned the meaning of the Top 10 Awards to focus on sustainability. The 2013 winners are identified as the firms with the greatest aggregate value of projects under construction during the last full calendar year and by the extent of their sustainability and green building ratings.
In the same press statement, Dr. Matthias Krups notes, “Today’s Top 10 awards are the first to take ‘environmental quality’ into account. This change will now favor those players that show true leadership not only in shaping the built environment but also ensuring sustainable development that will benefit future generations.”
World class green developer
“We are honored by this recognition from BCI Asia,” says Angie de Villa – Lacson, ArthaLand’s President and CEO. “This affirms our commitment to the delivery of well thought out and executed projects built around our core business philosophy of environmental sustainability,” she adds.
Nina Cordero, the company’s Senior Vice President for Project and Business Development, who received the citation on behalf of the company notes, “this award is a concrete proof that our flagship project, Arya Residences, embodies true world class green standard. The project is a towering testament of how we do things as a developer: every detail is measured and calibrated to ensure that what we promise is what we deliver.”
Rising in Bonifacio Global City, Arya Residences is the Philippines’ first and only top-end condominium that is on track to achieve dual green building certification. This boutique residential development is registered under the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program with a certification goal of Gold. It is also the pilot residential green building project registered under the BERDE program of the Philippine Green Building Council, the National Voluntary Green Building Certification Program duly recognized by the Department of Energy under the Philippine Energy Efficient Project – Efficient Building Initiative.
In 2012, ArthaLand was given the Arch of Europe for Quality in Gold Category by the Madrid-based Business Initiative Directions. In 2011 and 2012, WWF-Philippines has recognized ArthaLand as a leading partner in its campaign for environmental protection.
In the South East Asia Property Awards, the company’s premium project, Arya Residences was also recognized as the Best Residential Development in the Philippines in 2012.
“As a developer, our business blueprint is based on dedicated customer orientation, innovation, pursuit of excellence, sustainability, and integrity,” says de Villa-Lacson. “What we have proven in the past couple of years with our flagship project is a standard that we envision our future projects to have -- boutique, focused, and world class,” she adds.
